Our goal is to give you a valuable incorporation service that helps you incorporate your Illinois business with confidence and at a reduced rate from nearly all other services. This is the focus of StartIllinoisBusiness.com.
Incorporate your Illinois corporation with us and we’ll save you a lot of money – and, your user experience won’t suffer as a result.
In a nutshell, the fees to process your incorporation including same day rush service, and helping you file for Subchapter S status will be:
- Profit Corporation: $395
- Subchapter S Corporation: $395
- Limited Liability Company (Series): $725
- Limited Liability Company (Non-Series): $975
Adding a few hundred dollars to the cost of Illinois State fees to help you incorporate isn’t fair. Legalzoom and other companies do it though. In fact, legal zoom adds $369 on top of the state of Illinois registration fee. We know we’re offering a valuable service, but also know that people don’t have unlimited amounts of money to spend on incorporating their businesses. Another thing we know – when someone finds out they just overpaid by $300-400 they won’t talk well of that company. To avoid that, we make it impossible by being one of the most fair-priced incorporation services in the nation.
Compare us! Keep in mind that we have no rush service fee or add-on fees for helping you obtain your Subchapter S designation for your new Illinois business or helping you to get your EIN (Federal Tax ID number). Because it’s always included.
We offer Illinois Profit, and Subchapter S incorporation registration services for just $395. Legalzoom charges $644 if you want subchapter S and EIN help included! (3/25/09).
Basically, with Legalzoom customers are paying for all their television and radio advertising. Someone has to!
Instead of spend thousands and millions of dollars on television and radio advertisements we put our energy into better Google placement so people like you can find us when you search for keywords relevant to incorporating in Illinois. Search engines are free – we don’t have to charge you more to cover our business expenses. We think that makes a lot of sense.
Operating our incorporation service in this manner allows us to create, with you the all important…
W I N – W I N !

Incorporating in Illinois is a smart idea.
By incorporating your Illinois company you can enjoy some shielding of savings, house and other personal assets from court cases in some instances.
If your actions are ruled fraudulent or malicious and you attempt to hide behind your corporation the court can still take your personal assets. Acting in a proper way will keep your private assets safe. There are many rules about such things and it’s recommended that you read a lot about whatever incorporation type you end up choosing. The IRS has a business section that has a lot of free resources for you to read and they even have small business videos to help.
Creating a business legally in the form of a corporation makes it more likely that venture capitalists or banks will loan your business money to expand. Certain types of corporations limit your tax obligations and this is one of the most prevalent reasons Illinois residents choose to incorporate their businesses.
Getting incorporated in Illinois is simple:
1. Pick a type of corporation. This is a legal entity, separate from yourself, that is taxed according to IRS rules on income. There are significant advantages with different types of corporations – please read up on all the types.
2. Come to StartIllinoisBusiness.com and fill out the appropriate form.
LLC – Profit – Non Profit – Subchapter S
3. Choose options: If you don’t live in Illinois or know someone that will act as registered agent for your Illinois business you can take advantage of our registered agent service. You’ll probably want a professional corporate kit because you’ll need it and we have a deluxe kit for a very fair price.
4. Use your credit card to pay for your Illinois incorporation here on-site, or call us on the phone.

EIN – How to Obtain?
March 24, 2009 by admin

You’ll need to obtain an Employer Identification Number (EIN) to start a business checking account and if you want to have employees.
The process is rather easy and not by any means worth spending $25 to over $100 for help in getting this free number. Some Illinois companies will charge you just that for basically giving you a link to do it online and a phone number if you want to get it done immediately.
To obtain your EIN:
1. Start your Illinois business and incorporate using our online form.
2. We email you a hyperlink to an EIN (Tax-ID) online questionnaire at the IRS official site.
3. Complete the online IRS questionnaire and in about 10 minutes you’ll have your EIN (Tax-ID) on the spot for and at no cost whatsoever.
There’s nothing for us to hide.
How can another incorporation company charge for helping you obtain your EIN? In good conscious we can’t – so it’s included in whatever Illinois incorporation type you choose.
We hope you think this is a good reason to choose us to help enable you to complete everything you need to start your new Illinois business.
Every incorporation we do has: EIN included.
